Silhouetting Plants

Plants and trees can be good subjects for your photographs. They form different patterns with their branches, flowers, leaves, etc.
Today, when I went around my house I found a plant with a small bud. I didn't want to capture it normally, so I tried silhouetting them. Actually, it turned better! I also got blur in  the background making it more exciting.

Steady Macros

Photographing macros are exciting. Today, as I went around my house, I saw a couple of ants moving on the compound. I thought I could capture these ants at work. Ants are tiny little living beings. So you may need a macro lens to photograph them.
I used other subjects like little flowers too to make the image look beautiful. I could also get some bokeh in some of the images. But I had a great time photographing these little creatures. Thank You.

Show off!

Yesterday was a very good day for me. I had gone to my relative's house and found some beautiful flowers showing off their beauty. I really wanted to frame them but there was a problem! I didn't have my camera with me. So what?
I didn't have my camera but luckily I had my iPad with me. iPad can click decent images. I clicked some pictures of the flowers and made them more exciting using Instagram. Instagram can be very helpful in giving a better touch to your images. Nowadays, mobiles too can click good images and people often use apps like Instagram, photoshop etc to make it still better! Thank you.

Some methods to avoid camera shake

One of the common error in photography is camera shake. It is caused by the shaking of camera after the shutter button is pressed. There are some methods by which you can control this.

Using a tripod is the best method to solve your problem. It can help you capture stunning photographs even when you have set the camera to a slow shutter-speed. Beginners often commit camera shake, but from my experience I can tell you that you will get control of it as you practice.

If you are not having a tripod make use of the plane surfaces while you are photographing.

When you are buying lens, choose one with Image Stabilization. This will control minimum shake made by you and will later make it clear.

Secondly, you need to be knowing how to hold your DSLR. Hold the camera with your right hand and the lens with your left hand. Your left hand must be in contact with your body to avoid shake.

Set your camera to a higher shutter speed to get clear images. Setting the camera to faster shutter speed will help you click fast and avoid unnecessary shakes.

Sometimes camera shake can be helpful. It may accidentally result in good images. Here are some images which were the result of camera shake. Hope you will like it, Thank You!

Walking and clicking

Photographing while you are on walk is one of the best way to photograph. Today I was feeling bored, which made me to walk a bit near my house. I took my camera and went on a walk. I found the nature around very pleasing. I snapped some pictures which may please you people.

Photographing colorful flowers can not only make your image look beautiful. Today I just found some small flowers which were not too colorful, like the one above but can act as a good subject for my pictures. I had set a lower F stop number (higher aperture) and focused on the subject which resulted in good bokeh.

First time I had seen a flower like the one above. A tiny flower inside another flower. The pink color of the flower had a great effect on the image. I had purposely made the image dark as it added a unique touch to the image. I also like capturing silhouettes, and I actually captured one of a tree.

Thanks for reading and I am always ready for your comments guys. I found out some quotes on Photography from Brainy Quote (source) which I want to show you.

Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.

Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art.
-Ansel Adams

Photography is truth. The cinema is truth twenty four times per second.

Snapping at Parks

Photography is just awesome when you are at a park or a garden. Parks are full of people, flowers, greenery, poles and more. Always take your camera along with you whenever you are planning to visit a park. Don't just snap pictures of flowers but try to photograph other subjects like poles, statues, fence etc. Here are some of the photos I took when I recently visited a park.

When I was walking through the park, I found a weird looking flower and soon had a snap of it. You may have seen the picture above. Parks can also have man made structures which can be better subjects. I have used silhouette in the above picture. Try using the Silhouette effect on your camera.
Hope you liked these pictures and never forget to take your camera to the park. Have a great time, thank you!

PicMonkey - A better place to edit!

Source: Google Images

Some days earlier I just met an application called Picmonkey. It was one of the top rated apps on Chrome Store, which made me to download it! Its unlike other photo-editing apps as it provides free editing for users and the best part is there is no registration.

People who are looking for decent editing application except Photoshop are in the right place. You can transform your normal images to something unusual. People who want a edit for their profile pictures on Facebook can also find it useful.

It provides many awesome filters. They can add tan to their face, boost their blush and more. Decent fonts and overlays are also available. The smiley icons just amazed me and I use them regularly. Frames, textures and themes are some other ways by which you can make your photo more exciting!

Here are some snapshots of PicMonkey. You can either edit a photo or just select to Create a Collage. After editing you can share your posts directly to social sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc. Size of the image can also be selected.

Personally, I just love editing my pictures using PicMonkey. I just want to show you people some of my pictures edited using PicMonkey. I have also given the detail of the edit at the bottom of the image. Hope people will like this wonderful app and and also my review on it. Start Editing!
